School of Business
The department mainly train business related courses/fields. Business Department was begun in 2014, offering diploma, certificate and artisan courses in, business management, human resource management, supply chain management and KASNEB courses i.e. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accounting Technician Diploma (ATD) and Certificate in Accounting Management Skills.

Department Overview
The student population in the department has since been growing over the years and has graduated more than 300 students.

Duration
The courses duration is as follows; trainee covers three modules:
- Diploma - 3 years
- Certificate/Artisan - 2 years
Note: For KASNEB courses the examination body defines the duration and it is according to the status of the trainee to book for examination.
Entry Qualifications
A mean grade of KCSE C- minus for diploma.
A mean grade of D plain for certificate.
Artisan course and computer packages one must have sat for KCPE.
Intake
We have three intakes for the business training programmes: January, May and September.
Examining Body
During and at the end of each course, the trainee sits for either KNEC or KASNEB exams.
At the end of each module, the trainee sits for the KNEC examination.
The trainee intending to take an Artisan course must have sat the KCPE/KCSE

- Diploma in secretarial studies.(DSS)

Course Work
It is a requirement that every business trainee sit for the school based assessments/examinations, which constitute of trade and entrepreneurship projects and exam papers, including Kenya National Examinations Council exams done at the end of each module. The college tutors mark the school-based assessments while the marking of the end of module examinations is done by Kenya National Examination Council.
Industrial Attachment
The trainees go for industrial attachment after module one for certificate and after module one and two for diploma courses. Business trainees are well trained such that they secure jobs in both private and public sector of the economy plus some have become successful entrepreneurs.
ASSESSMENT/EXAMINATIONS.
Internal examinations are administered by the Institution in form of continuous assessments (CATs) and end of term examinations.
